Did Ankit Gupta Decline The Offer To Participate In Khatron Ke Khiladi 14?

Ankit Gupta, renowned for his captivating presence on reality TV, notably in Bigg Boss 16 and his memorable roles in various daily soaps, is gearing up to appear on screen once again. Set to make a comeback on Star Plus’ upcoming venture, Maati Se Bandhi Dor, Ankit will be sharing the screen with the acclaimed Marathi actress Rutuja Bagwe.

In a recent interview, Ankit Gupta disclosed that he opted out of participating in Khatron Ke Khiladi to pursue this new project. When asked about being approached for Khatron Ke Khiladi, Ankit Gupta told Pinkvilla, “I had a meeting with them but same time around I got the show as well. As an actor, I got a little greedy as I wanted to act. Khatron is there for another few years.” He added that he still has chances to participate in the reality show next season, but the opportunity to work on the daily soap might not be there.

As per reports, Maati Se Bandhi Dor’s promotional video has been shot and is expected to be released soon. Talking about the show, Ankit Gupta shared that Maati Se Bandhi Dor is deeply tied to cultural roots and features unique relationship dynamics. He stated that he will play the character of Rannvijay (Rana) who comes from an affluent farming family and lives in a bustling city to complete his education. Ankit went on to add that Rana does not have a close relationship with his father but finds inspiration in his mother.

Shedding light on the plot, Ankit revealed to the publication that the storyline revolves around Rana, who finds himself entangled in a complex web of love and familial duty. Despite falling in love with a city girl, Rana’s mother has already arranged a marriage with a girl from their village. Rana accepts this arranged marriage out of deep respect for his mother.

Apart from Ankit Gupta and Rutuja Bagwe, Gauravv Mukesh who was seen in the show Imlie is expected to appear in Maati Se Bandhi Dor. According to the Pinkvilla report, the latter will represent an antagonistic character. Furthermore, the show’s shooting is currently underway.

Ankit Gupta began his acting career with Balika Vadhu and was praised for his role in Sadda Haq. He gained prominence with his performance in Udaariyaan and his chemistry with co-star Priyanka Chahar Choudhary was much praised. He also appeared on series such as Bigg Boss 16 and Junooniyatt.
