Abhishek Kumar, who has been grabbing attention for his participation in the stunt-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, recently had a special moment with Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt. Despite mixed reactions from the audience about his performance on Rohit Shetty’s show, there’s no denying that he has been pushing his limits and facing his fears. Rumours had been circulating that Alia Bhatt would make an appearance on the Grand Finale of Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, and Kumar confirmed the news by sharing a picture with the actress.
On September 16, Abhishek shared a couple of photos on Instagram, where Alia Bhatt could be seen smiling as she places her hand on his shoulder. The former Bigg Boss 17 runner-up shared a big smile and wrote an emotional caption that detailed his career growth and experience of meeting the Jigra actress. He recalled his early days when he worked as a crowd artist on Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya, which also starred Alia Bhatt.
In his heartfelt caption, Abhishek wrote, “From a crowd artist to sharing screen space with Alia Bhatt Ek time tha 2013 me when I was a crowd artist in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya or shoot ka last day tha. Maine socha Alia mam k sath bs ek picture click hojae. Maine subh se rat k 2 bje tk wait kia k mam free hongi or ek picture click hogi. (There was a time in 2013 when I was a crowd artist in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya. On the last day of the shoot. I thought of clicking a picture with Alia Ma’am. I waited from morning till 2 pm so that she would be free and a picture would be clicked.”
“Per picture ho naa paayi or aaj ka din 2024 me mam ne khud kaha k Abhishek let’s click a picture. Matlab kya hi din tha. growth to hui hai life me. jai mata di. She was very sweet. Dil khush ho k @aliaabhatt ko mil k (But I couldn’t get a photo clicked. Today, in 2024, ma’am came on her own and said Abhishek let’s click a picture. What a day! I have really grown in life. Jai Maa Di. She was very sweet. my heart is happy to meet Alia Bhatt” he continued in his caption.
Abhishek’s fans rushed to the comments section to express their pride. One fan commented, “Hardwork always pays off,” while his fellow actor Arjit Taneja added a fire emoji, showing his support.
Just after he finished as the runner-up on Bigg Boss 17, an old photograph of Abhishek, allegedly from the sets of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya went viral. In an earlier interview, he mentioned that he had became a fan of the late actor Sidharth Shukla after meeting him during the shoot of the movie, which starred Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt.
Abhishek shot to fame after his role in the popular TV show Udaariyaan, where he shared the screen with Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Ankit Gupta and Isha Malviya. He became even more recognised after his appearance on Bigg Boss 17, finishing as the first runner-up. Currently, he’s competing in Khatron Ke Khiladi 14.
As for Alia Bhatt, she’s set to lead in the upcoming film Jigra, where she will be sharing the screen with Vedang for the first time. The two actors will be playing siblings in the film. Alia is not only starring in it but also co-producing the project.
