New Delhi: Xiaomi's latest 7.9-inch Mi Pad tablet is now available for purchase through e-commerce site Flipkart for a price of Rs 12,999. The tablet has hit the web store alongside Redmi 2.
Both the products were announced by the company two weeks back and starting today, will be up for grabs under Xiaomi's exclusive partnership with Flipkart. However, the tablet will not be part of the periodic flash sale strategy. Although no pre-registrations were required for the Mi Pad, the Redmi 2 smartphone still required users to sign up.
The Mi Pad has a Tegra K1 chipset coupled with 2GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. Beating under its hood is a Tegra K1 chipset coupled with 2GB of RAM. The tablet sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. It is packed with a 6700mAh battery.
The company is currently introducing the 16GB (expandable up to 128GB) model in India, but a 64GB model in India is expected soon. The Mi Pad will be available only in white colour in India.
