Samsung is all set to launch its next Galaxy flagship smartphone today at its exclusive event in New York. This is a very important day for Samsung after the recent global embarrassment caused by the Galaxy Note 7 disaster fueled by substandard batteries. While Samsung has done its bit to forget and move on, it would be interesting to see how consumers across the global will react to the Galaxy S8 launch. And more importantly, are they willing to trust Samsung again and not opt for the tenth-anniversary special Apple iPhone 8 for almost the same money?
Also, not to forget the arrest of Samsung chief Jay Y. Lee CEO on bribery charges in South Korea.
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones. The Galaxy S8 will house a 5.8-inch display powered by a 3,000mAh battery while the S8+ will offer a 6.2-inch screen with a 3,500mAh battery.
Both the smartphones will feature curved displays with 18:9 aspect ratio, something which was introduced in the latest flagship LG G6. Also, both the S8 handsets will offer an almost be bezel-less design.
