New Delhi: Panasonic has launched its new smartphone - Eluga Arc - in India at a price of Rs 12,490. The phone features a 4.7-inch HD IPS 2.5D curved display, 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5 megapixel front camera.
The 4G handset comes with a fingerprint sensor, which can be configured for 5 different fingerprints and commands which include one step screen unlocking, picking calls, launching applications, and clicking selfies.
Under its hood is a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor coupled with 2 GB RAM. The phone has 16 GB of internal memory, which is expandable up to 32 GB.
The Eluga Arc runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with the FitHome user interface atop.
Available in Royal Gold, the dual-SIM (4G/3G+2G) smartphone has an 1800 mAh battery, which, the company claims, can be charged 75 faster with Qualcomm Quick Charge technology.
Panasonic recently elevated its India managing director Manish Sharma as executive Officer of Panasonic Corporation and President and chief executive officer of Panasonic India and South Asia.
Sharma has become the first Indian to be appointed as Executive Officer, Panasonic Corporation, the company said in a statement. He joined Panasonic in 2008.
