New Delhi: OnePlus has finally unveiled its highly anticipated OnePlus 2 smartphone today. Although marred by pre-launch leaks of the device, the 2016 flagship killer is finally here. Here are key highlights of the OnePlus 2 smartphone from the world’s first VR launch event.

1. OnePlus 2, the OnePlus One successor, comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p display with contrast ratio of 1500:1 offering brighter, bolder colours.

2. Under its hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor combined with 4GB RAM. It comes with 64GB of internal storage.

3. Sales of the OnePlus 2 will start in the US, India, Canada, EU, and China on August 11. It will roll out in Southeast Asia in Q4 of 2015.

4. The #OnePlus2 is priced at Rs 22,999 ($329) for 16GB and Rs 24,999 ($389) for 64GB.

5. The smartphone sports a 13 megapixel rear camera with sensor pixel size of 1.3 microns, which the company says is 35 per cent larger than standard smartphone cameras.

6. OnePlus 2 is one of the first flagship smartphones to come with the unique reversible USB Type-C port for charging and output.

7. Boosting the security, the OnePlus 2 comes with a fingerprint sensor that is capable of storing up to 5 unique fingerprints.

8. It also comes with an Alert Slider which is a dedicated hardware switch for quick switching between notification settings.

9. It will come with 4 StyleSwap covers - Bamboo, Black Apricot, Rosewood, and Kevlar.

10. The OnePlus 2 draws its juice from a 3300mAh battery as against the 3100mAh battery in the OnePlus One.
