New Delhi: In a bid to enhance your search experience through its Maps app, Google has yet again updated the app with a new interface that makes looking up for routes easier.
The new navigation UI is part of version 9.14 of the Google Maps apps for Android that now shows a larger interactive map to show you departure and arrival points.
It now also lets you further zoom in on the map and seek alternative routes. The new navigation UI is neater and gets rids of unnecessary design elements providing a convenient navigation experience.
Information shown now includes estimated time to reach a destination, the distance, and the fastest route information. The ‘popular times’ feature shows if a destination is likely to be busy based on your time of arrival. This is particularly helpful if you plan trips to restaurants or other such public places.
The new version is now available on Google Play Store. It now also features the new Google Maps logo as part of Google’s overall design change post the launch of Alphabet.
