New Delhi: After Siri, Cortana, and Google Now, it seems Facebook is all set to join the bandwagon of having a virtual assistant of its own to help users make the most of its Messenger service.
The social networking giant is said to be developing a voice-based digital assistant, dubbed Moneypenny, which will be in straight competition with the ones coming from the tech biggies.
The feature will apparently help people in carrying out research and online shopping through the Messenger app, The Information reports.
Facebook has been trying to make its Messenger more popular amongst users by introducing new features every now and then. However, most of them have failed to garner much attention like Home or Poke apps.
Moneypenny, on the other hand, could prove useful if designed to also work in combination with Facebook Messenger’s Pay option.
