Apple Watch users have been complaining about issues like overheating which seems to have caused battery drain as well. We haven’t heard about how Apple plans on fixing these issues for the users but now a report suggests the company will offer a new watchOS update to improve the situation for Apple Watch users.
The report from MacRumors has quoted an internal memo from Apple where the company has talked about fixing these issues with the watchOS 10 series update that will be rolled out soon.
The company has not shared more details about this update, when it plans to roll out and more importantly, what is causing these issues for Apple Watch users, who have the Apple Watch Series 5 or the latest Apple Watch Ultra 2.
Running the same platform means any possible issues with watchOS will have a drastic impact that affects millions of Apple Watch users. Apple doesn’t say how many Watch users are facing these problems in the memo, the report adds. The company had similar issues with iPhones after iOS 17 was released, and it was forced to issue the iOS 17.1 update to fix a variety of issues faced by iPhone users.
Some reports say Apple could have a watchOS 10.1.1 update to fix the battery drain issue for Watch users but there is a strong chance that the company might push it via the watchOS 10.2 update which isn’t expected for at least another month.
Apple Watch is the best smartwatch in the market, which now faces pressure from Samsung and Google as well. Both these companies have joined forces to compete with Apple Watch using the all new Wear OS platform that is available on Samsung Galaxy watches and the Google Pixel Watch series.
