Apple’s big iPhone 16 launch event could happen in the next weeks. Well, at least that’s what a new report from the Bloomberg has claimed. The iPhone 16 Series could be announced at a big event on September 10, is what the report has mentioned. That’s not all, we might see the new AirPods 4 and the Watch Series 10 at the same event, it adds.
The iPhone 16 lineup will be Apple’s flagship rival to the new Pixel 9 series and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold models in the market. All three of them have a special focus on AI and that is likely to be Apple’s pitch as well, albeit at a later date, as suggested by earlier reports.
Apple is likely to confirm the iPhone 16 Series launch date in the coming days but the source of the report generally has offered credible tip so we could be actually be looking at the September 10 launch event after all.
Apple Intelligence (AI) will be a big part of the event hosted by Tim Cook and Co. But the company is also expected to confirm the availability of the AI features to come via an iOS 18 update later.
Siri will also be getting an AI boost, which isn’t expected before early 2025. Having said that, iOS 18 will bring native integration of ChatGPT for iPhone users thanks to Apple’s deal with OpenAI which was announced at the WWDC 2024 earlier this year.
Coming to the iPhone 16 lineup, rumours suggest the regular model could get a design rejig, especially at the back with the camera module. However, the Pros will mostly pack the new A-series hardware that will also bring AI features to the regular variants, something that the iPhone 15 users will miss out on.
The iPhone 16 Pros should be offered with with better sensors and a new colour variant called Desert Titanium is also being tipped to be part of the series this year. We’ll be keeping a close eye on Apple’s official invite which should be rolling out anytime this week.
