Samantha Says Her Biggest Mistake Was To Get Influenced by Her Partner, Fans Ask If It's Naga Chaitanya

Although Samantha Ruth Prabhu is still on her break from acting, she maintains an active social media presence. The actress frequently interacts with her fans via her Instagram stories or her broadcast channel on the social media platform. Recently, an interaction went viral on Reddit in which Samantha opened up about her “most significant mistake”.

Samantha asked, “If personal growth had a highlight reel, what would be the ‘blooper’ you laugh about now, and what’s the ‘Oscar-worthy’ moment where you nailed a major life lesson?”

She then wrote, “Perhaps the most significant mistake was my failure to understand my own likes and dislikes, as they were constantly influenced by the partner I had during that period. On the other hand, my moment of immense personal growth occurred when I recognised that even during the most difficult times, there was a valuable lesson to be learnt.”

This quickly went viral on Reddit and fans assumed that Samantha was talking about her ex-husband Naga Chaitanya. One person wrote, “Assuming this is about Chay… She had to break out of the marriage to find her true self.” Another added, “Ugh if you watch even a single interview of theirs it’s very very easy to understand their dynamic.”

Samantha and Chaitanya were dating for a few years before they tied the knot in 2017. However, speculations of their separation began when Samantha removed Chaitanya’s family name ‘Akkineni’ from her social media handles. After growing speculations and rumours, Chaitanya and Samantha had issued a joint statement confirming the split. The former couple, who was married for almost four years, announced their separation in 2021, leaving fans in shock. While the reason for their split is still unknown, Chaitanya admitted that he and Samantha had moved on.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Samantha will soon be seen in the Indian spin-off of Citadel with Varun Dhawan.
