Mammootty’s 2009 Film Paleri Manikyam To Re-release In Theatres For 3rd Time

The story of the film revolves around a private detective who comes back to his native village to solve a murder mystery that occurred on the same night he was born in the village, Paleri. Upon the release of the movie, it got an A certificate due to its violent and adult content. As per reports, the film was based on a real story where it was the first recorded murder case in Kerala.

Mammootty’s performance was highly appreciated by the critics and the audience. He played a triple role in the film, which made him win the Kerala State Award for Best Actor. Apart from that, the film also won the Kerala State Award for Best Film.
