Actors Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil previously impressed the audience with their impeccable acting skills in the film Maamannan. Now, the duo is set to share the screen for the second time in an upcoming comedy film. According to the latest updates, the makers of the film have released the film’s official title. The critically acclaimed Maamannan showcased how Fahadh Faasil and Vadivelu are absolute powerhouses of acting and screen presence. The actors are gearing up to share the screen pace again in the production house Super Good Films’ 98th project. As per the reports, the upcoming film is titled Maareesan. The makers have also unveiled a new poster for the film, which indicates that it could be a road movie. The poster features an imprint of a deer head, on a darkened road, with the tagline: The hunt begins today.
Maareesan is going to be under the direction of Malayalam filmmaker Sudheesh Shankar, who is known for films like Venal Kinavukal, Aarumaname, and Villali Veeran. The cinematography in the film is being handled by Kalaiselvan Sivaji, and the editor is Sreejith Sarang. The music in the film is being composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil were last seen in the acclaimed Maamannan, also starring Udhayanidhi Stalin. Directed by Mari Selvaraj, the cast of the film also included Keerthy Suresh, Lal, Azhagam Perumal, Vijayakumar and Raveena Ravi. It was produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin, under the banner of Red Giant Films. The music in the film was composed by AR Rahman, while the cinematographer was Theni Eswar, and it was edited by Selva RK. The film was released on June 29, 2023. The reports stated that Vadivelu made a comeback in films after a long gap, while it was Udhayanidhi’s last film as an actor.
