New Delhi: A day after the country faced its worst grid collapse, Union Corporate Affairs Minister Veerappa Moily on Wednesday took the additional charge of the Power Ministry.
Addressing mediapersons after assuming the office, Moily asserted that he would not allow grid collapse again.
"I am confident we will not allow this to happen again. We are keeping vigil," said Moily.
Talking about the current situation, Moily said that there was near normalcy in all the three grids now.
Moily further said that he won't indulge in any kind of blame game over the grid failure. He said, "We don't want to start any blame game. The question is to resolve the problem, without the cooperation of the state this situation can not be resolved."
Referring to his future course of action, he said, "We have called a meeting on August 6 of the affected Chief Ministers. In case any Chief Minister cannot come, they can send secretaries."
