New Delhi: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday assured that his government has not deviated from its manifesto released during the 2013 assembly elections in Delhi and added that issues relating to safety of women and availability of water to all houses were still a priority for his government.
On the rising rape cases in the city, Kejriwal said: "I will meet the police commissioner over rising rape cases in capital. We want to make fast track courts for such cases," he said.
He also said that no new structures will be allowed to come up at Yamuna bank.
The AAP leader reiterated that his party is still committed to Janlokpal. "I have asked the chief secretary to give us the draft of Janlokpal by one or two days," he said.
On his promise of providing water to all, Kejriwal said he was trying to solve the water problem in Delhi.
Kejriwal, however, refused to answer the allegations leveled by rebel Aam Aadmi Party MLA Vinod Kumar Binny who has accused Kejriwal of not fulfilling his poll promises. "Kejriwal has moved to the politics of ifs and buts, he isn't the only one responsible for the growth of AAP," Binny had said while speaking to CNN-IBN.
