New Delhi: Protests against Telangana reaches Jantar Mantar on Wednesday where Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and YSR Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy will be holding separate demonstrations.
Kiran Reddy who had also threatened to step down as the CM over the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh will stage a sit-in protest along with 80 MLAs at Jantar Mantar.
Other than the CM himself, other senior leaders from Andhra Pradesh who have voiced their opposition to Telangana Bill include Union Ministers Pallam Raju, Chiranjeevi, D Purandeshwari and KS Rao.
Whereas, Andhra Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha is in favour of the Bill.
Union Ministers S Jaipal Reddy and KC Deo are amongst the leaders from AP who have not yet cleared their stand on Telangana.
The Telugu Desam Party MLAs from Seemandhra had held a protest outside the North Block on Tuesday protesting the tabling of the Bill in Parliament.
The second half of Parliament's Winter Session begins on Tuesday.
The Group of Ministers had on Tuesday approved the Telangana draft Bill. This draft is likely to be produced before the Cabinet this week. Meanwhile, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath has alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party did not want the Telangana Bill to be passed.
