The former telecom minister said he is ready to be questioned by the CBI.
New Delhi: Claiming that the telecom sector was clean during his tenure, former Telecom Minister Arun Shourie on Saturday said that he was ready to be questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Flaying A Raja over the 2G spectrum scam, Shourie said the UPA minister flouted rules and never followed first come first serve basis in the 2G allocation.
Shourie said Raja used strong arm tactics to avoid many who wanted to bid for 2G spectrum.
The Supreme Court on Thursday had directed the CBI to probe the allotment of 2G licences from 2001 to 2008.
Raja who was the telecom minister in the UPA government was forced to quit after allegation of corruption in the allotment of 2G spectrum.
