New Delhi: Union minister of state for HRD Shashi Tharoor faced some embarrassing moments on Wednesday after his Twitter account was allegedly hacked and bizarre tweets were sent from his account to a popular Pakistani columnist Mehr Tarar. According to a Reuters report, Mehr Tarar was surprised and shocked by these tweets. Later, she was told that Tharoor's Twitter handle was hacked by somebody.
Thaoor clarified, "Sorry folks, my Twitter account has been hacked and will be deactivated temporarily."
This come days after Sunanda Pushkar, wife of Tharoor, had claimed that "her Twitter account was hacked" and the message that came criticizing BJP leader Subramaniam Swamy on her account was not hers.
Even though she had first claimed that a friend of hers had posted the comment using her account, she had later retracted from that statement and made it clear that her account was hacked.
Sorry folks, my @Twitter account has been hacked & will be temporarily deactivated. Bear with me while we solve this.— Shashi Tharoor (@ShashiTharoor) January 15, 2014
