55. Sanganer is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Rajasthan and is part of Jaipur Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Sanganer falls in Jaipur district and Central region of Rajasthan. It is categorised as a urban seat.
There are a total of 3,01,559 voters in the seat, which includes 1,59,293 male voters, and 1,42,266 female voters. In the 2018 Rajasthan elections, Sanganer recorded a voter turnout of 68.77%. In 2013 the turnout was 68.16%, and in 2008 it was 55.6%.
In 2013, Ghanshyam Tiwari of BJP won the seat by a margin of 65,350 votes (38.11%). Ghanshyam Tiwari secured 65.59% of the total votes polled.
BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 32,912 votes (25.81%), registering 59.39% of the total votes polled.
