New Delhi: In an all-out offensive ahead of the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Sunday launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing a massive 'Kisan Samman Rally' in the capital, Rahul Gandhi hit out at Modi for not fulfilling his promises.
Taking a dig at the PM's sartorial preferences, Rahul said, "The more far he goes from you, the more expensive his clothes are." He also criticised the Modi government for ignoring the plight of farmers and not paying any heed to their problems.
Speaking on the controversial land ordinance, the Congress VP said that the government's decision to not bring another ordinance is a victory for the Congress party, and the farmers of this country.
Adding to this, he said, "The fight on Land Bill is not limited to Parliament but has to be fought even in assemblies'.
The Gandhi scion also attacked Modi's 'Make-in-India' initiative claiming the scheme has no place for farmers and labourers. He described it as 'Take-in-India'.
Earlier ahead of the rally, two factions of the Haryana Congress, one faction supporting Bhupinder Singh Hooda and the other supporting President of Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee Ashok Tanwar, had clashed at the rally venue.
