Pune: The Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) on Saturday sprung a surprise by wresting 29 out of 152 seats of Pune Municipal Corporations.

The MNS, however, was followed extremely closely by Congress, which managed to get 28 seats, according to the latest reports.
MNS, which has substantially improved upon its tally of 7 in the last house, has left the Shiv Sena and the BJP behind, who won 16 and 24 seats respectively as per the results that last came in.
