Puducherry: Volunteers, legislators and leaders of different wings of Puducherry State Congress Committee celebrated the birthday of the UPA chairperson and AICC leader Sonia Gandhi, who turned 66 on Sunday.
The PCC leader AV Subramanian led the party workers to drag the golden chariot inside the precincts of the Manakula Vinayakar temple in the heart of the town on Sunday.
Leader of the opposition V Vaithilingam, legislators and also representatives of different wings of the party were among those who pulled the chariot and offered worship at the presiding deity on the occasion of celebration of the leader's birthday.
