12:53 pm: BJP MP TC Gehlot says banning the ritual of parikrama (Ayodhya Yatra) by the Uttar Pradesh government is wrong. He appeals to the government to intervene and ensure the state government allows the parikrama. The BJP and RSS had earlier hit out at the Samajwadi Party government for denying permission to undertake the VHP proposed Ayodya Yatra.

11:00 am: The BJP raises the issues of coal block allocation scam in the Rajya Sabha with party spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad saying Coal Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal's response was a serious case of conflict and as the Prime Minister is present in the House, he should make a statement on it.
The issue of missing crucial files connected to the illegal allocation of coals blocks and Telangana has been disrupting Parliament proceedings of the Monsoon Session. The disruption has also become one of the stumbling block in the passage of UPA's flagship scheme Food Security Bill in the Lok Sabha. Now, the UPA is left with only seven days to pass the bill.
The main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party has been demanding that the Prime Minister to explain how the crucial files related to the coal block allocation went missing. The Left too has joined the chorus and wants the Prime Minster to join the discussion in the floor of the House. This even as two previous attempts to debate the Food Bill in the Lok Sabha have been foiled by the Opposition.
Earlier, the BJP had taken on the Congress over party President Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra over his alleged involvement in land deals in Gurgaon.
Meanwhile, some MPs from Andhra are protesting against Telangana whereas some are in favour of Telangana.
