Officials involved in phone-tapping won't be spared: Virbhadra
Singh said new buses would be introduced to strengthen the bus fleet of HRTC and efforts made to improve its financial health.

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Wednesday said his government would not wreak political vendetta but would not deviate from the policy of zero tolerance towards corruption. Speaking at the convention of the district Shimla Congress Committee in Shimla, the chief minister accused the previous BJP government of having breached the democratic rights, especially the right to privacy of common man by illegally tapping their phones and warned officials involved in phone-tapping would not be spared and face stringent action.

Criticising the BJP government for implicating him in two "false" cases, he said he was acquitted by the court in every case but the persons involved in framing false cases would be deal with strictly. Singh alleged the previous BJP government had misused the resources of the state and Himachal Road Transport Corporation had become bankrupt due to wrong policies of that government.

He said new buses would be introduced to strengthen the bus fleet of HRTC and efforts made to improve its financial health. Singh said the pace of development would be accelerated in the field of education, health, power supply, water supply and certain other sectors as the people of the state had high expectations from the Congress Government.
