New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is likely to file his nomination papers from Varanasi Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh on April 24. Modi, who is contesting elections from two seats, had filed his nomination from Vadodara in Gujarat on April 9 after a grand roadshow.
BJP's Uttar Pradesh chief Laxmikant Bajpai said Modi will reach at Kashi University helipad and will do a road show for 1.5 kms till collectorate office. He will file nomination between 11.30 am and 12 pm.
Varanasi will be one of the most keenly watched seats as Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal will also be contesting from there. The leaders have been holding a series of campaigns in the holy town.
The Congress, meanwhile has fielded a "grassroots worker", local MLA Ajay Rai, who said his record is better than Modi in the electoral arena as he has won five straight Assembly polls as against just three won so far by Gujarat Chief Minister.
