Lucknow: In a major administrative reshuffle soon after taking oath, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday transferred 17 IAS and five IPS officers placing 11 senior officials considered close to his predecessor Mayawati on the waiting list.
Principal Secretary (UP reorgaisation cordination department) RM Srivastava has been made Principal Secretary (Home).
Secretary (Administrative Reforms) Anita Singh and Director General (stamp and registration) Alok Kumar have been made secretaries to the Chief Minister as were Special Seretary (Labour) Pandhari Yadav and District Magistrate of Saharanpur Zubair Bin Sagir, according to official sources.
Rakesh Garg, who had been awaiting posting, was made Pricipal Secretary (Trade Tax and Entertainment Tax).
Officials of the previous Mayawati government, including Principal Secretary (Home) Kuwar Fateh Bahadur, Additional Cabinet Secrtary Ravindra Singh, Principal Secretaries to the former Chief Minister Netram, RP Singh, Durga Shankar Misra and Secretary to Mayawati Navneet Sehgal, Anil Sant are among those who have been kept in the waiting list.
Among the PCS officers, editor of state gazetter Shambhu Singh Yadav has been made Special Secretary to the Chief Minister and Special Secretary (Medical Health) Raj Kishore Yadav was appointed estate officer.
