New Delhi: After a spectacular debut in the Delhi Assembly polls, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has decided to concentrate on the ensuing Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Maharashtra.

However, AAP said that it has yet not decided the number of party candidates who will contest the 2014 Lok Sabha polls from the state. The party said it will take a decision based upon the areas where it has organisational support.

Meanwhile, AAP has received 73000 applications for 543 Lok Sabha seats.

Earlier, AAP functionary Mayank Gandhi had said that the party's slogan was 'AAP ka ye sandesh, aaj Dilli, kal pura desh'. Gandhi had also said that the party will field candidates from the 36 Assembly seats in Mumbai. The country's financial capital has six Lok Sabha seats.

Gandhi had added that the Delhi results had boosted the morale of AAP members in the state and that the party was planning to take up issues like open spaces and slum rehabilitation schemes in the city.

There were reports that AAP activists, using RTI, have been collecting crucial data about utilisation of MP and MLA funds, work carried out through Maharashtra Housing and Development Authority (MHADA) and district collectors' offices, details of land deals and violations on use of government land.
