New Delhi: Former IPS officer Kiran Bedi has openly backed Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Narendra Modi, saying that a leader of Modi's stature will only be able to provide an efficient government in the country.
"For me it's India First! Stable,Well Governed, Administered, Accountable and Inclusive. As a an independent voter,my vote is for NaMo," she tweeted.
Bedi's open endorsement for Modi comes as the BJP leader stepped up campaign against the Congress government.
Modi on Thursday took a dig at Manmohan Singh, saying that the Prime Minister is right when he said good days are ahead for the country. While hinting at BJP sweeping the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the Gujarat Chief Minister said that it may take 2 to 4 months time to reach that point.
Modi's counter comes come after Manmohan Singh had last week said in his press conference that Modi as a PM will be disastrous for India.
"Without going into the credentials of anyone, I think it will be disastrous for the country to have Narendra Modi as the PM," said Singh at his second press conference with media in his second tenure.
