Vadodara: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Friday asked the voters to reject the Congress, which is contesting the coming Assembly election with the promise of changing 'dasha' and 'disha' (conditions and direction) of the state. Addressing a huge rally at Bodeli in the district, Modi said, "Sonia Gandhi-led Congress party is chanting 'change direction, change conditions', but people of Gujarat will force Sonia Gandhi to change both 'disha' and 'dasha'."
The Chief Minister was felicitated for creating the new tehsil of Bodeli on this occasion. Taking a dig at the Congress president, Modi said she "changed the direction" and went to Rajkot to kickstart the campaign of her party this time, because in 2007, Congress candidate had lost from Chhota Udepur, where Gandhi had launched the poll campaign.
Congress would be trounced in Rajkot this time, he said. Modi also said that so far he was only undoing the damage done during the Congress rule, and "march towards excellent and divine Gujarat will commence from January 2013". He also promised that a few more new tehsils and districts will be created post-elections.
