Gadkari set for second term as BJP President
A clear RSS imprint on the BJP now deciding to give another term to President Nitin Gadkari.

New Delhi: Nitin Gadkari is set to get a second term as the BJP President after the green signal from the RSS. Under pressure from the RSS, the party is reportedly going to change its rules so that Gadkari can have a second term as the BJP President.

The final decision will be announced later as the BJP constitution needs to be changed first to allow a second term for Gadkari.

Once again RSS seems to have prevailed over the BJP decision making process. A clear RSS imprint on the BJP now deciding to give another term to President Nitin Gadkari. The BJP constitution does not allow any president to continue two consecutive terms.

CNN-IBN has learnt that in the BJP office bearers meet which was held to discuss the final resolutions, which are to be moved in the executives slated for latter this month in Mumbai, one of the resolutions that was suggested was to extend the presidentship time period to consecutive terms.

The resolution in affect means that Gadkari will continue till the next Lok Sabha or the general elections till 2014.

There was a section within the BJP which was opposing this move considering the Anshuman Mishra fiasco, also the way the elections in Uttar Pradesh were held and Babu Singh Khuswaha episode.

But it seems that last month top RSS brass including Bhaiyaji Joshi, Datare Hosbole and Suresh Soni had come to Delhi and apprised the BJP leaders about what the RSS thinks and once again they seem to have prevailed over the BJP leadership.

What's your reaction?
