Deputy Election Commissioner to visit West Bengal
Sahana said that Zutshi will arrive on April 10 and go to north Bengal and visit Darjeeling.

Kolkata: Deputy Election Commissioner Vinod Zutsi, who is in charge of West Bengal, will arrive in Kolkata to monitor preparations in districts where Assembly elections for the first and second phases are scheduled for April 18 and 23 respectively.

"Zutshi will arrive on April 10 and go to north Bengal and visit Darjeeling, Coochbehar and Jalpaiguri and have meetings with district magistrates and superintendents of police," state Additonal Chief Electoral Officer N K Sahana told reporters on Thursday.

On April 11, Zutshi would visit North and South Dinajpur districts by helicopter and from there he will go to Behrampur to meet administrative officials of Murshidabad and Birbhum districts, Sahana said.

On the same day he would visit Malda and Nadia districts to meet officials there, he said. Later in the day he would arrive in Kolkata and next day meet the police and officers of the state electoral office to review law and order, Sahana said.
