New Delhi: The Congress on Thursday had a dig at BJP President Nitin Gadkari for defending controversial Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa allegedly involved in land allotment scams.
Party General Secretary B K Hariprasad alleged that Gadkari was defending Yeddyurappa as the entire resources for the marriage of his son in Nagpur had come from this "illegal actions" of the Karnataka Chief Minister.
"Entire expenses of Nagpur Festival (Gadkari's son's marriage) was from Yeddyurappa," he alleged.
Hariprasad, who hails from Karnataka, said that four ministers of Yeddyurappa Government had to resign due to various scandals was a prove enough of the State Government character.
Appearing to defend the Karnataka Chief Minister, Gadkari had earlier said that the acts of Yeddyurappa may have been "immoral" but could not be termed "illegal".
