New Delhi: As the Srikrishna report will be made public on Thursday, a wary Congress is leaving no stone unturned.
As a pre-emptive measure, the party has asked its MPs to refrain from making any provocative statements. The Telangana Congress MPs have also been cautioned against making any threats to resign.
Sources have told CNN-IBN that the Congress core group will meet on Thursday to decide on the road ahead on Telangana.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Reddy has given his ground assessment to the Centre.
Reddy has been assured of being provided with additional central forces after the report is made public.
Security stepped up
On ground zero Security has been tightened. A total of 50 companies of paramiltary forces, including CISF, BSF & CRPF have been deployed.
More forces have been pressed into sensitive districts like Warangal, Mahbubnagar, Karimnagar, Anantapur, Kadapa, Guntur & Vijaywada.
Political party offices such as those of Prajarajyam have heightened security cover.
