Bangalore: Firing a fresh salvo at Karnataka Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda, the BS Yeddyurappa camp on Wednesday sought convening of an emergency legislative party meeting to discuss reports of a written complaint against some Ministers and demanding action against them.
In a letter to Gowda, Yeddyurappa loyalists said it was reported in leading Kannada and English newspapers on Wednesday that the Chief Minister and state BJP president KS Eshwarappa jointly made a written complaint to BJP National President Nitin Gadkari.
The complaint stated that some of the Ministers in Karnataka were involved in anti-party activities, resulting in defeat to the party in the recent Chikamagalore-Udupi Lok Sabha by poll and, thus, take disciplinary action against them.
"In the circumstances, we the undersigned Ministers/MLAs sincerely urge and request you to call for the Emergency Legislative Party Meeting to discuss this matter along with other important matters", said the letter, which contained 19 signatures, including that of Agriculture Minister Umesh V Katti.
The letter was made available to the media by Yeddyurappa.
