Congress MP Arvind Sharma said he will vote in favour of his party.

New Delhi: Continuing with his flip flop, Arvind Sharma Congress MP from Karnal, Haryana today switched allegiance back to his party in the trust vote.

Sharma, who last weekend had attacked the Congress leadership accusing it of targeting Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati, today said that he would vote for the Congress in the confidence motion.

The MP came to Parliament House in the company of Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

"Congress is my party, Sonia Gandhi is my leader. I was never against the party, I will vote in favour of the Congress," Sharma said when asked about his stand on the confidence vote.

Asked about his meeting with Mayawati on Monday, Sharma said, "I did meet her, I have respect for her, but inside my heart I have always been with my party."

Sharma also added that he had always criticised the UPA government and not the Congress party.

In between these shifts, the MP is also said to have met Congress president Sonia Gandhi. PTI
