Rajahmundry (AP): Jai Samaikhyandhra Party (JSP) President N Kiran Kumar Reddy has accused TRS and YSRCP of entering into a "tacit" understanding to approve division of Andhra Pradesh.

Addressing various road shows in East Godavari district last night, Reddy said, "A secret agreement between TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao and his YSRCP counterpart YS Jaganmohan Reddy facilitated the division of Andhra Pradesh."

The former chief minister, who parted his way with Congress opposing bifurcation, said, "the division is still pending. We have filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court, which will be heard on May 5".

Kiran said the division was in "contravention" of rules and regulations as stipulated in the Constitution and is against the legal procedure.

"Our main objective to approach the Supreme Court is to keep Andhra Pradesh united and against its bifurcation into creation of Telangana," the former Congress leader said.

Appealing to people to vote his party to power, Kiran said, "We will take all necessary (measures) to keep the state united."

Elections to 25 Lok Sabha and 175 Assembly seats will be held in Seemandhra region on May 7.
