Tata Nexon Facelift Mileage Data Revealed, Details Here
The 2023 Tata Nexon facelift comes with an exceptional fuel efficiency, claiming up to 24.08 kmpl, setting a new diesel SUV mileage benchmark.

Tata Motors has announced the fuel efficiency data for the newly launched 2023 Nexon facelift.

With a claimed fuel efficiency of up to 24.08 kmpl, the new Nexon offers the highest mileage of any SUV with a diesel engine in the sub-compact market. Tata Motors unveiled the new Nexon SUV on September 14 with a starting price of Rs 8.10 lakh (ex-showroom).

According to Tata Motors’ fuel efficiency data, the petrol variants of the Nexon SUV with manual and dual-clutch gearbox options offer 17.01 kmpl. Meanwhile, the Nexon petrol models with the automated manual transmission (AMT) gearbox have a mileage of 17.44 kmpl. The Nexon offers at least 23.23 kmpl in diesel models with a manual gearbox. Furthermore, the models with AMT transmission offer up to 24.01 kmpl of mileage.

In comparison, Hyundai Venue diesel models come close to the new Nexon’s fuel economy data. Venue diesel models with manual gearboxes get 23.4 kmpl. The Kia Sonet diesel models with automatic gearbox have a fuel economy of 18.2 kmpl. The Mahindra XUV300 is the other SUV in the sub-compact market that is available with a diesel engine. It gets 20.1 kmpl in manual mode and 19.07 kmpl in automatic mode.

The new Nexon is available in both petrol and diesel versions. The 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine is connected to either a six-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. The engine has a power output of 113 bhp and a max torque of 260 Nm. The 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine is paired with one of four gearbox options. A five-speed manual, a six-speed manual, a six-speed AMT, and a DCT gearbox are available. The engine can produce 118 bhp and 170 Nm of peak torque.

The Nexon facelift also includes a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an all-digital instrument cluster with built-in navigation support, a twin-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, automatic climate control, touch-based HVAC controls, and cruise control. Additionally, six airbags, a blind spot monitoring system, an air purifier, ambient lighting, a wireless charger, TPMS, and a 360-degree surround camera are also standard.

In the subcompact segment, the Nexon facelift SUV competes with the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Mahindra XUV300, as well as the Maruti Suzuki Brezza. However, Maruti Suzuki no longer offers any diesel engines. The Brezza, driven by a 1.5-litre petrol engine, offers a mileage of up to 19.8 kmpl in automatic trims.
