As the deadline for JEE Main 2024 Session 1 registration approaches, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that aspiring candidates have until November 30 to complete their registration on the official website, jeemain.nta.ac.in.
All candidates must note that the syllabus has been reduced for this highly competitive annual engineering entrance examination. The JEE Main 2024 exam will feature a reduced syllabus in various subjects:
Chemistry: Excludes topics like physical quantities, precision and accuracy, states of matter, atomic models, surface chemistry, s-block elements, isolation of metals, hydrogen, environmental chemistry, polymers, and chemistry in everyday life.
Physics: Omits communication systems and certain experimental skills.
Mathematics: Removes topics such as mathematical inductions, mathematical reasoning, and some aspects of three-dimensional geometry.

JEE Main 2024 Session 1: How to register
To make sure your application process goes smoothly, here’s a step-by-step guide:
Step 1. Visit the official JEE Main 2024 website at jeemain.nta.ac.in.
Step 2. Click on the ‘JEE Main Registration’ link on the homepage.
Step 3. Login using the system-generated password or your Digilocker or ABC login ID.
Step 4. Submit the answer to a security question and complete the registration.
Step 5. Log in again and provide your personal details, select the paper you are applying for, and choose your preferred exam cities.
Step 6. Enter your educational qualifications and proceed to upload the necessary documents.
Step 7. After completing the document upload, submit the application fee as required.
Step 8. Review the form to ensure all details are correct.
Step 9. Finally, download and take a printout of the JEE Main application confirmation page for your future reference.
JEE Main 2024 Session 1: Exam Structure
The exam duration is three hours, except for candidates appearing for the joint exam of BArch and BPlanning, who will have 3 hours and 30 minutes.
The JEE Main 2024 Session 1 will comprise three papers:
– Paper 1: BTech programmes
– Paper 2A: Bachelor of Architecture
– Paper 2B: Bachelor of Planning
The registration process for JEE Main 2024 Session 2 is scheduled from February 2 to March 2, 2024. The exam will take place from April 1 to 15, 2024, with results expected on April 25. Candidates have the option to apply for either Session 1 or Session 2 separately or both together, with applicable exam fees. Those who want to apply for both sessions (January and April), will need to pay the fees for two papers and submit the application accordingly.
