The Australian cricket team clinched a much-needed victory against India in the third T20I to stay alive in the five-match series. Batting first, Team India posted a mammoth total of 222 in the game. Opening batter Ruturaj Gaikwad pulled off a fine knock of unbeaten 123 in the third T20I. The target, however, proved to be futile as Australia clinched a win by five wickets.
Aussie all-rounder Glenn Maxwell pulled off a brilliant century to guide his side to a much-needed victory. Maxwell remained unbeaten having scored 104 runs off just 48 balls. Australia will now be aiming to level the series when they take the field in the fourth T20I on Friday, December 1. The penultimate fixture of the T20I series will be played in Raipur.
Meanwhile, the Indian bowling unit is expected to face a stern test in the next T20I. Despite putting up a solid total, the hosts could not defend it in the third T20I. A victory on Friday will be enough for the hosts to win the T20I series.
