A little while after that Humans of New York founder Brandon Stanton took to ‘X’ and shared his opinion on India-based storytelling. He accused them of copying his idea of Humans of New York. Also, he criticised the company for filing a lawsuit against another storytelling platform. Brandon’s statement did not only bring in criticism for the organisation but it was also accompanied by trolls.

Many people came forth and brutally trolled the organisation on ‘X’.

One person also shared how Humans of Bombay’s ‘X’ bio is copied from Humans of New York.

The trolls did not just stay confined to the organisation but also looped in founder Karishma Mehta. Many people called her out for promoting toxic workspace environment. “Don’t even get started on the toxic work culture at that place: there are employees who’ve quit citing harassment, abuse, lack of pay, and punishing work hours. A cheap ripoff sitting on the moral high horse is peak South Bombay entitlement. Hope it comes out one day,” wrote an ‘X’ user.
