HAPPY BIRTHDAY VIRAT KOHLI: When it comes to hitting centuries, no active cricketer can come closer to Virat Kohli. Even in history, only country legend Sachin Tendulkar has more hundred-plus scores than the 35-year-old Indian batter. Kohli is only 22 centuries shy of breaking Tendulkar’s monumental record of 100 international hundreds. Kohli’s bat always shines at a time when India needs something magical to get rid of a difficult situation and he has proven it time and again on the big stage.
Among his 48 ODI centuries, three have come in the ICC ODI World Cup, which is currently underway on Indian soil.

103* vs Bangladesh in 2023
Virat Kohli looks to be in the form of his life in this ongoing World Cup on home soil. Apart from shattering several records, Kohli has also registered his third World Cup century during the campaign thus far. In their fourth match of the tournament, India were up against Bangladesh in Pune.
Coming to chase a 257-run target, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill made a blazing start to the innings, stitching an 88-run partnership. Kohli arrived at the crease following the departure of Rohit. During his 97-ball innings, Kohli whacked six boundaries and four maximums. Powered by his unbeaten 107, India picked up a comprehensive 7-wicket win in the match.
107 vs Pakistan in 2015
After winning the title in his debut campaign, Virat Kohli appeared in a more composed version in the 2015 World Cup in Australia. In a group-league match against Pakistan, Kohli demonstrated his quality infront of a full-house Adelaide.
He struck 8 boundaries en route to his 107-run knock, which helped India reach 300 runs in 50 overs. In reply, Pakistan fell 76 runs short of the target, losing all wickets in 47 overs.
100* vs Bangladesh in 2011
Virat Kohli is the only cricket in history who has notched a century in his debut World Cup game. It was during the 2011 edition when India were playing Bangladesh in Mirpur. MS Dhoni’s men batted first in the match, with Virender Sehwag pulling off a brilliant start to the innings. He lost his opening partner Sachin Tendulkar early and Gautam Gambhir also failed to stay longer at the crease.
Coming in to bat at No. 4, Kohli showcased his A-game and went on to breach the triple-figure mark off 83 deliveries. Riding on his unbeaten hundred, India posted a mammoth 370 runs on the board and eventually won the match by 87 runs.
