The Foreign Medical Graduate Examinations (FMGE) December 2023 registration window has been opened by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) today, November 23. Applicants can submit their applications for the FMGE via natboard.edu.in, the NBEMS official website. Candidates may apply for the December 2023 FMGE until December 13, at 11:55 pm. The application correction and editing window for all candidates will be accessible from December 15 to December 18. From January 5 to January 8, 2024, the final chance to correct errors relating to documents included in the application will be available.

The FMGE December 2023 hall tickets will be published on January 12, 2024. The exam is scheduled for January 20 and the results are expected to be released on February 20.

FMGE 2023 December Session: How to Apply

Candidates may apply for the FMGE by following the steps outlined here.

Step 1: Go to the NBEMS official website at natboard.edu.in.

Step 2: On the home page, click the FMGE December 2023 application link.

Step 3: The registration link will be available to applicants on a newly opened page.

Step 4: Fill out the FMGE December 2023 registration form and click the Submit button.

Step 5: Complete the FMGE application form and pay the application fees.

Step 6: Click submit to save the application form. Print a copy of it for future reference.

According to the information bulletin, the candidate must have a primary medical qualification that has been verified by the Indian Embassy to be a recognised qualification for enrolment as a medical practitioner in the country where the institution awarding the said qualification is located.

FMGE 2023 December Session: Application Fee

The examination cost for FMGE has been fixed at Rs 6000, with an 18 per cent GST of Rs 1080 added on top. As a result, the total fee due is Rs 7080. The stipulated exam fee must be paid using the designated payment gateway with an Indian bank’s credit card or debit card, or with any other means of payment that may be made available and listed on the website.

Medical graduates who wish to practise in India must pass the FMGE which acts as a screening test. For Indian citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) who want to get a registration certificate from the National Medical Commission (NMC) or their local State Medical Council (SMC), The FMGE is offered by NBEMS twice a year.
