Mini, the luxury car maker has been- working on expanding its hatchback lineup, and plans to add more cars in the segment. In order to achieve this goal, the company is all set to launch Cooper’s five-door model soon.
While giving a green signal to the news, the company’s head Boss Stefanie Wurst hinted that the upcoming product will be part of the company’s ‘Simple’ lineup core models. However, the company has not reacted or revealed the related details about the same as yet.
Company’s Future Plans
When Wurst was being asked about the company’s future plans during the ongoing Munich motor show, he said that “brand has so much to do with the roll-out of the family we’ve just announced. The Aceman is still missing, the John Cooper Works variations are all to come, we only speak about the three-door, but we actually have a five-door coming, and we have a convertible as well.”
2024 Mini Cooper and Countryman EV
This comes at the time when the Mini unveiled the 2024 new generation Mini Cooper and Countryman in a pure electric avatar. Both the cars have been given completely new design elements with futuristic styling retro-type approach. It has been reported the BMW-owned company will also create the same model but a fuel-powered engine soon.
Current Lineup
Meanwhile, Mini is offering a three-door Cooper hatch and the Countryman SUV in India. Both the four-wheelers come with both petrol and diesel options. As far as the all-new three-door Cooper EV is concerned, it will hit the market next year.
