The National Testing Agency (NTA) will end the registration process for the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test (CSIR NET) for December 2023 today, December 4. Interested and eligible candidates who are yet to apply are advised to apply before the registration ends.

The CSIR-UGC NET exam will consist of five papers: Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean, and Planetary Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Physical Sciences. The exam will consist of objective-type questions with multiple-choice answers that can be answered in both English and Hindi. It is important to note that the CSIR-UGC NET exam will be held for 180 minutes, or three hours.

Step 1: Visit the official website of CSIR UGC NET 2023 at csirnet.nta.ac.in.

Step 2: Look for and click on the “CSIR UGC NET” link on the home page.

Step 3: Fill up the application form as directed and upload the mentioned documents

Step 4: Pay the prescribed application fees and submit the form

CSIR UGC NET Application Form 2023: Documents required

Students applying for the post of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship (LS)/Assistant Professor in various universities and colleges in the country will require the below-mentioned documents to fill CSIR NET application form 2023:

1. Board or university certificate copy for verifying candidate’s name, mother’s name, father’s name and date of birth

2. Passport number or Bank account passbook with photograph

3. Government approved ID proof such as Ration card/Aadhaar Card /voter ID card number

4. Last semester marksheet of qualifying degree certificate

5. Mailing address and permanent address with pin code

6. Four cities for centres of your choice

7. Code of joint CSIR-UGC NET subject

8. Category certificate, if applicable

9. Economically Weaker Section (EWS) certificate, if applicable

10. Person with Disability (PwD) certificate, if applicable

11. Self-declaration minority community certificate, if applicable

12. Result awaited certificate, if applicable

13. Candidate’s Email ID and mobile number

14. Scanned photograph in JPG format only

CSIR UGC NET Application Form 2023: Application Fees

The cost of the CSIR NET registration form is Rs 1,100 for general candidates, Rs 550 for reserved candidates, and Rs 275 for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.
