The Central Selection Board of Constable (CSBC) has postponed the Bihar Police Constable exam due to a paper leak. The exam was held on October 1 but a few candidates were allegedly caught cheating in the exam using electronic devices following which it has been postponed till further notice. As per reports, the question paper was leaked a day before the exam. Those candidates have been arrested on the spot. The exam was scheduled to be held on October 1, 7, and 15 in two shifts. The exams to be held on October 7 and 15 have been postponed. The exam held on October 1 also stands cancelled.
The new exam dates are likely to be announced by CSBC soon. The CSBC recruitment drive is being conducted to fill a total of 21,391 constable vacancies in Bihar police. A total of 529 exam centres across 37 districts in Bihar have been set up to conduct the exams. CSBC had announced that 45,667 individuals’ applications had been denied. The board released the list of these candidates along with the grounds for rejecting their applications.

The written examination will have 100 multiple-choice questions for 100 marks. Aspirants need to complete the test within the stipulated time of 2 hours. As per the marking scheme released by the CSBC, candidates will be rewarded 1 mark for each correct answer. However, there is no negative marking for this exam.
Candidates should further note that the selection process will be held in four stages. Starting from the online written examination, the candidates have to go through a physical standard test and physical efficiency test if they qualify for the written examination. Then, a document verification and medical examination will be conducted to finalise the eligible candidates for the offered posts.
