CBSE students who received the Single Girl Child Scholarship last year and want to continue with it will also have to apply for renewal by October 31

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the timeframe to apply for the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship. Students who haven’t applied yet can now register until October 31. To register for the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship visit the official website at cbse.gov.in. Students who received the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship last year and want to continue getting it will also need to apply for renewal by October 31. However, only those who have scored over 50 per cent in the 11th-grade exams can apply.

Applicants can go through the steps listed below before applying for the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship:

Step 1: Navigate to the official website at cbse.gov.in

Step 2: Then, tap on the main website link.

Step 3: Tap here to apply beside the public notice.

Step 4: A fresh page will be displayed on your screen.

Step 5: Click on the link to apply and fill the application form.

Step 6: Now, upload the documents and submit the form.

Step 7: Lastly, download the application form and take a print out.

CBSE started the Single Girl Child Scholarship program in 2006. Students who qualify for this can get Rs. 500 per month for up to two years as a scholarship.

The school fees for 10th grade shouldn’t be more than Rs. 1,500 per month for the entire year. Any increases in tuition fees over the next two years can’t go beyond a total of 10% compared to the initial fee. This scholarship is only for Indian citizens. The student must continue her education in the 11th and 12th grades in a school. It’s open to students who passed the CBSE Class 10th Exam in 2023. A student who’s receiving this scholarship can also benefit from any other concessions or special offers provided by the school the girl is attending.
