BSEB Bihar Board 12th Result 2021: Following the trend of last year, Bihar Board is set to be the first academic board to declare the result this year too.

The evaluation process for the Bihar School Education Board (BSEB) class 12 answer sheets has been completed, the result has been created and the board is in the process of topper verification. After the infamous incident in 2016 when a Bihar Board class topper was unable to respond to media queries including the name of her subjects, the board has become very strict with its assessment process. Answer sheets of toppers are verified and toppers are interviewed and their handwriting matched to rule out any cheating or impersonation cases.

Once declared, the results will be available at the official websites – onlinebseb.in, bsebssresult.com, biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in, and news18.com. The class 12 exam was concluded on February 13. Just like last year, this year too, Bihar Board is set to become the first board to release the result of its board exams. The rest of the boards have postponed their exams because of the pandemic. Not only for the 12th but the sources suggest that the evaluation process for Bihar Board class 10 is also set to be completed by March 29 and results will be announced by the first week of April for matric students.

BSEB Bihar Board 12th Result: How many marks needed to pass?

Candidates will have to secure a minimum of 33 per cent aggregate marks in order to obtain a pass certificate from the Board. Students will also have to score the minimum passing marks in each subject as well as pass in theory and practical exams separately. In theory, even those who have 30 per cent marks in theory section are deemed pass. Those who fail to obtain minimum passing marks in one or two subjects will have to appear for a compartmental exam to improve their performance.

BSEB 12th Result 2021: What to do if not passed?

Students who fail in more than two subjects will have to reappear for the exam next year. If in case a candidate is not satisfied with his/her marks, he/she will also be provided with the opportunity to apply for re-evaluation of their answer sheet. BSEB 12th Result 2021: How many students took the exam?

Nearly 13 lakh candidates had registered for the class 12 board exams while around 16 lakh students registered for the class 10 exam. The board has already released the intermediate as well as the high school answer key for all objective questions across all subject question papers. Students were also provided with the opportunity to raise objections against the provided answer key.

BSEB 12th Result 2021: What was the result like last year?

Last year, over 12 lakh students took the BSEB intermediate exam out of which 80.44 per cent passed. There was a slight improvement in the passing percentage as compared 79.76 per cent in 2019 for inter result and 52.95 per cent in 2018. For class 10, there was a slight decrease in the passing percentage of total students. In 2020 around 80.59 per cent of students who appeared for the exam had passed it while in 2019 the statistic was 80.73 per cent and 68.89 per cent in 2018, and 50.12 per cent in 2017.

This year, the board had introduced an alternative question for every question asked in the exam which is expected to help students and take the pass percentage higher.
