Talking about the film, Parineeti told news agency PTI that it was part of her career’s “2.0 phase." Parineeti’s previous films such as Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, The Girl on the Train and Saina saw the actress break the stereotype of a “bubbly, happy girl" that was long associated with her image at the initial point of her career.
Parineeti said that she did not measure a film’s success by box office figures or OTT viewership but by the way it touched people’s hearts.
The 33-year-old actor–who is also a proficient singer–mentioned that she couldn’t be more grateful to her audience for supporting her latest movies. She revealed that her shift in choice of movies was inspired by the need, to be honest about her “career choices." The actress had also mentioned that if her last three projects hadn’t worked out successfully, she would have reconsidered the choice of movies that she was making. She said: “If people would have rejected those films, then I would have understood that they don’t want to see me do this, but they want to."
Parineeti is also set to star in Sooraj Barjatya’s next titled Uunchai and a biopic directed by Imtiaz Ali that chronicles the slain Punjabi singing legend Amar Singh Chamkila’s life.
