Mumbai: Hacker Gains Access to YouTuber's Home CCTV, Nude Videos Go Viral
A case was registered with the Bandra police on Monday after the man discovered that some unidentified person had gained access to the CCTV camera installed in his home, which captured his nude video

A YouTuber from Mumbai’s Bandra (West) filed a police complaint on Saturday after he got to know that his nude videos had gone viral on social media.

As per a Times of India report, the 21-year YouTuber got to know about the viral videos from a friend, following which he approached the authorities. A case was registered with the Bandra police on Monday after the man discovered that some unidentified person had gained access to the CCTV camera installed in his home, which captured his nude video.

In the purported video, it was seen that his mother and sister were watching him while he came out from the bathroom without clothes.

The video was captured by the hacker on November 17 without the knowledge of the victims. Speaking to TOI, the investigating police officer said,”The cyber team in the police station is tracking the internet protocol (IP) details with the help of technical assistance to locate the person who gained illegal access to the CCTV system.”

At the same time, a request was sent to remove the video, the police officer further said.

On Saturday, the YouTuber received a call from one of his friends who informed him about the video that was out on social media. While filing the complaint, he said, “The unknown person has gained illegal access to the CCTV camera that is installed in my bedroom.”

The video went viral after the hacker allegedly shared it on Instagram, Telegram and other social media platforms.

A case has been registered against an unknown person under sections 500 (defamation), 501 (printing or engraving matter known to be defamatory) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and under the IT Act sections 66 (C) (identity theft), 66 (E) (violation of piracy), and 67 (A) (publishing or transmitting of material containing sexually explicit).
