Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan’s son, Arhaan Khan, turned 21 years old on Thursday, November 9. Malaika took to her Instagram story early in the morning on Thursday to share photos of herself with her son with some adorable captions. She also gave an insight into the midnight birthday celebration he held for her son.
In one photo, she could be seen walking behind Arhaan. She captioned it, “Mama’s got your back always my baby boy… love you so so so much.” Malaika looked gorgeous in the photo in a grey suit paired with gold jewellery and red lipstick. Meanwhile, Arhaan wore a tan jacket over a black ensemble and completed his look with a grey cap.
In another photo, the mother and son duo were seen welcoming Arhaan’s birthday by cutting a cake post-midnight. As Arhaan tried to blow out the candles on his cake, Malaika lovingly looked on. She captioned the photo, “Make a wish my baby boy… 21 today.” Malaika and Arhaan matched in black outfits for the special occasion. Arhaan’s birthday cake seemingly featured red, yellow and blue balloons on it.
Arhaan and Malaika share a very close bond. He frequently appeared on her show Moving In with Malaika and spoke about how proud he is of his mother’s journey. Arhaan also said on the show that he is extremely close to Malaika’s younger sister Amrita Arora Ladak and considers her like his second mother. Malaika said that she often felt jealous of their bond, but she is also quite close to Arhaan.
Arhaan was born in 2002 to Malaika and her then-husband Arbaaz Khan. The former couple announced their separation in 2016, citing compatibility issues. They finally got divorced in 2017. Arhaan soon went on to study abroad in the United States of America, as revealed by Malaika on her show.
